Marfrig invests in e-commerce platform focused on small retailers

Application connects customers with points of sale that sell Bassi products

Marfrig has just launched an e-commerce platform of the Bassi brand to strengthen the sales of small businesses and offer convenience to the consumer. Created by Take4Content, the application works as a “meat marketplace”, allowing consumers to buy Bassi products from the closest retailers, with the promise of delivery in 1 hour.

Unlike other platforms, Bass.Marfrig, as it was called, does not require the retailer to register the goods on the platform, as in the traditional marketplace model. The pricing works through Artificial Intelligence, taking into account the availability of the product in the store closest to the customer, the amount charged by the retailer and the delivery costs.

For now, the application is only available for the city of São Paulo and operating exclusively for the Bassi brand, but in the future the company has plans to bring other lines to the platform, such as Montana and Montana Steak House.  There are also plans to offer complementary products in the barbecue category, addressing all the necessary solutions for the preparation of meats and this type of meal.

The Bassi.Marfrig application was produced from the white label model of another delivery application – Farmazon, focused on the pharmaceutical retail. The company responsible for the platform licensed to Marfrig the georeferencing technology necessary to bring customers and points of sale closer, based on the expertise in the sale of pharmacy products.
