Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are the source of searches for supermarket, survey says

Kantar’s study in 2020, registers that more than 65% of searches for supermarkets are from social networks

Social networks are increasingly redirecting more customers into both physical and virtual supermarket stores. According to a survey by Kantar in 2020, the main sources for the “which supermarket to shop at?” search  are the social networks.

Facebook platform stood out, leading among the apps of the segment, with 65.2% of the searches for supermarket stores. Instagram comes next with 47% of the searches, and WhatsApp on the third position, with 42.1% of the searches for supermarkets. This way, it becomes clearer that supermarkets should invest in these tools, as soon as possible.
