According to the survey carried out by Nielsen, cleaning products remain with high demand, even in a post-pandemic scenario
The changing in consumer habit during the pandemic generated a new behavior that will remain even after the social distancing relaxing period. According to 33% of the participants, visiting stores will diminish as well as 25% of shoppers will remain buying from nearby stores.
According to the survey, for supermarkets, cleaning products will remain with a high demand in 2021 since 26% of participants are cleaning more their houses. The study shows that 75% of categories belonging to cleaning products grew in sales during 2020. In special, liquid detergent grew more than 11%.
Carried out by Nielsen, the survey also shows that 17% of the interviewees are going to reduce visiting bars and restaurants, while another 17% have in mind keeping their home supplied.
