Bill 606/20 guarantees that disabled people and people with reduced mobility should be supported in the entire journey
Not all supermarkets have the specific training on how to deal with customers with special needs or even with the elderly ones. Aiming at improving these customers’ experience, the bill 606/20 was created to stablish some measures that are able to support in the service for this people in supermarkets.
The bill establishes that supermarkets and similar stores must have trained associates, who are always willing to help people with disabilities or those who have reduced mobility, during the working hours.
The project is still being discussed in the House of Representatives and provides for city regulation. The goal with this proposition is that supermarket associates may be able to conduct the consumer or the cart, as well as inform about the items on the gondolas during shopping, packing products in the checkout and more.
