Pão de Açúcar increases plant-based products assortment with plant-based salmon

In September, Pão de Açúcar expanded the plant-based products assortment. Consumer are already able to find the “salmon” created by Brazilian foodtech, The New Butchers, who produces as well other food items to the chain’s stores as The New Chicken 2.0, The New Chicken Burger and The New Burger. 

Now, the New Fish arrives as part of the brand’s assortment, based on pea protein, natural extract of paprika and Omega 3. The category performance justifies the increasing investments. In Pão de Açúcar stores, up to May 2020, sales of this kind of food had an average growth of 150%.
