Amazon takes over delivery logistics in sales of retail partners
The company is offering its market expertise to stimulate shopping in its Brazilian marketplace
Amazon just has launched a new system that will facilitate product delivery for partner companies that sell in the American company’s marketplace. The Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program was launched in São Paulo, and allows stores to share their inventory with Amazon’s distribution centers in Brazil.
In this model, Amazon is responsible for logistics management and operation, from packaging to delivery to the consumer. Currently, only retail companies from São Paulo are able to join this new format.
The FBA Onsite, on the other hand, offers to stores only the option of delivery carried out by Amazon from the stock of each store. This service is available in all states in the South and Southeast Regions, in addition to Bahia, the Federal District and Pernambuco.
