GPA sales grow 20% between July and September
Multi-retail sector, which includes the company’s supermarkets and proximity stores, registers a growth of almost 8% on the third quarter of 2020
GPA has registered an increase of 20% in revenues in the third quarter of 2020, mainly due to the group’s cash and carry banner, Assaí, with an increase of 33.4% in sales in the same period when compared to the year before. No wonder that this segment of GPA is currently responsible for 43% of all sales of the company, according to data from the group.
According to Exame Research, an analysis and investment advisor company, GPA’s multi-retail department, which includes hypermarkets and supermarkets, as well as proximity stores of Pão de Açúcar and Extra chains, grew 7.6% in sales between July and September 2020.
