Dash Cart tool also creates shopping lists integrated with voice assistant and is being tested in the company’s stores
Once more Amazon has shown that there are no limits for what technology is able to do to improve consumer experience. The latest news from the company to be tested in the chain’s store is the Dash Cart, a smart shopping cart that uses algorithms to identify products.
When placing a product into the cart, the mechanism adds it to the purchase and displays the subtotal in real time. Those interested in using the tool just need to unlock it using the Amazon app and, after picking their groceries, use the specific checkout, where they can pay with credit card.
In addition to ringing up the items the consumer has selected, the smart cart also displays shopping lists created with the voice assistant, Alexa. Amazon indicates the Dash Cart for small purchases as the system has a limited capacity of up to two bags of groceries.
