In order to develop the project for medium and large retailers, the startup received an investment of R$3 million and have already performed over 100 thousand transactions with the payment technology using facial recognition system. Stores can implement the Payface directly on the checkout or on applications of their own brand. Customers pay for their purchase using the image of their own faces, after registration in the platform.
The company has carried out tests in different establishments, mainly in pharmacies and supermarkets, store models that operate with a large frequency of people and payments. Eliminating the touch on cards or devices in order to make the payment is the main benefit of the solution, in addition to make the process more agile. After the initial testing period, Payface will focus on the facial recognition of people who are wearing protection masks.
