Customers will be able to buy from the chain’s stores on digital platforms
On May 13, Grupo Big established a partnership with the electronic retail chain B2W (Americanas, Submarino and Shoptime) and Supermercado Now Startup, in order to explore the synergy among the companies. Integrating these platforms, stores that compose the Grupo Big chain (Big, Bom Preço, Nacional, Mercadorama, Todo Dia, Sam’s Clube and Maxxi Atacado) will be able to sell their products in the partners’ e-commerce, as Americanas Mercado and in the Supermercado Now sales platform that B2W acquired last January.
Consumers served by Grupo Big’s banners will be able to shop online in their favorite stores and have the products delivered at home or selecting their preferred store to collect them. The purchase is paid on the sales platform, easing and expediting the purchasing, while “personal shoppers”, which are responsible for gathering the order’s products, select the products from the list.
The integration comes to the market in a moment where online sales are growing due to the social isolation, which is a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to reducing contagion risks, it helps consumers to keep their home supplied with the convenience provided by the digital technology. The initiative will have impact over 376 Grupo Big stores, throughout 17 states and the Federal District.
