Spanish chain who have deactivated the online operation one year ago, relaunches it due to changing consumer habits
The Covid-19 impact on the supermarket sector operations is making companies to review their strategic decisions due to the sudden changing in consumer habits. After ending their activities in the digital environment in May 2019, Dia supermarket chain started to invest again in digital operation.
The Spanish company has established a partnership with iFood to offer delivery service for online purchases and started the pilot project in April. Initially, the delivery for online orders are concentrated in the operations of stores located close downtown São Paulo.
