Company shares donation between hospitals in their area of operation and families that are more vulnerable to the Coronavirus contagion
Confiança Supermercados made a R$ 1 million donation to fight and prevent the Covid-19 in six cities in the state of São Paulo, which will be shared by hospitals (R$ 500,000), market baskets and hygiene kits that will be delivered to families in the state that are vulnerable.
The hospitals will receive the amount as material and equipment, according to the need of each unity, and the deliveries will follow a schedule created by the company’s Social Responsibility Department, along with Social Assistance Secretariats of the cities in each region where the group owns a store.
According to Jad Zogheib, President of Confiança Supermercados, this is the moment of finding the best commercial conditions to multiply the resources to its maximum. “Through this solidarity spirit we will multiply the amount we are donating.” He said.
