Hypermarkets of the French chain in Brazil to sell gift cards for digital entertainment content
Until the end of February, Carrefour’s hypermarket stores throughout Brazil will offer gift cards of digital content for its customers. The gift card works as an alternative for those who do not have a credit card and want to consume digital contents as Netflix, Google and Spotify, for instance.
Despite the increase in the Brazilians’ connectivity, only 25% of the population uses credit card, and that is an obstacle for consuming digital entertainment. For that reason, Carrefour is offering access to these services without the need of subscribing or owning a valid credit card. This launching is part of the operation diversification strategy of Carrefour hypermarkets.
