Associação Paulista de Supermercados will have 16 headquarters in the state, and more room to take knowledge to members
The Associação Paulista de Supermercados (APAS) expanded and facilitated incentive actions for associates who work in the industry in the State of São Paulo. With the new headquarters the institution inaugurated, they will intensify the conducting of training courses for functions performed in the supermarkets. Sixteen new APAS headquarters will shelter 13 regional offices and 3 district offices.
In 2018, the first Regional with their own facilities was the Baixada Santista Area. As the experience succeeded, new acquisitions were planned for this year. In October, South District and Vale do Paraíba Regional new headquarters were inaugurated, and in November two more offices will be inaugurated.
Until the end of the year, there will be five new headquarters. The goal is to offer facilities with new functionalities, among them the conducting of incentive events to the supermarket sector, courses from the APAS School, in addition to strategic meetings.
With these new headquarters, APAS expects that until the end of 2019, 140 training courses for supermarkets employees in São Paulo will be conducted. Moreover, this investment focus on improving service to the supermarkets and members in the state, who currently add up to over 1,500 and close to 4,000 stores.
According to Damião Nóbrega, Director of the APAS Vale do Paraíba Regional, members do understand the importance of professional training, especially for our economy. “Having the facilities to bring entrepreneurs and employees closer to lectures and knowledge is fundamental, and is part of the APAS’s purpose”, says the regional director who is responsible for 4.8% of the industry’s revenues in the State of São Paulo.
