Supermarket chain grows in healthy product sales after six years of supporting sports activities
Pague Menos chain is reaping the benefits from the last six years of investments in healthiness. Always committed in disseminate the practicing of sports and life quality among its customers and associates through events, the company today registers a growth in the sales of healthy products.
The chain reached a 17% growth in the consumption of the line of healthy products, in 2019, after organizing mountain bike competitions, street running for adults and children, besides sponsoring two associates in marathons and triathlon competitions.
Demand and expansion
According to the company’s data, the first semester of 2019 registered more sales in products such as coconut water, tapioca flour, whole grain pasta, whey protein, chia seeds, snacks, demerara sugar, oatmeal, granola, and sugar free chocolates and gelatin.
Pague Menos’s next step is to introduce more organic and vegan products in their stores in the State of São Paulo. The strategy’s goal is to meet the great demand for these products in the food market, and satisfy customers that are looking for healthier alternatives.
