Castanha, Taquaral and Guará stores, start to make deliveries without fee for purchases of at least R$15.00, and paid online
Supermarket delivery service just got a strong ally, with a great expertise in the matter. Very popular in Brazil, the iFood application has started a partnership with supermarkets in São Paulo to initially test the service developed along with the SiteMercado platform.
During this phase, in which the companies acknowledge the market and the customer behavior, they will apply the strategy only in the Castanha Supermercado store, in Osasco; and in the city of Campinas, in the Taquaral and Guará stores.
In this first implementation phase, the customers will have to spend at least R$15.00 worth in groceries to have the right for the iFood service. Moreover, for now, the participating stores will only deliver hygiene, cleaning, frozen, vegetables, meat and beverage items.
To order and receive the groceries at home and without paying the fee, the customer has to pay online for the items. According to Marcio Noguchi, head of new business of iFood, the initial goal of the project is to stimulate the customers to test the new service.
To use the new function, the app users can access the “Market” tab that was introduced in the app’s menu. “Our goal is to transform the supermarket purchase journey into a practical and efficient one, in the same way we already offer in the meal delivery, using our expertise in technology”, says Noguchi.
